When you finish you will be able to
Solve problems in your field that a generalist doesn't know how to frame.
What you learn
- Separate, in an electrical problem, what the fundamentals, the specialization and practice each contribute.
- Compare two degree programs within the same specialization with official data (this class uses Chile's), stating the conditions of each figure.
- Calculate the voltage drop of a single-phase feeder and compare it with the limit in Chile's code for feeders, RIC N°03, with its conditions of scope.
- Identify the assumption that changes a decision (cable temperature, motor current, transmission voltage) and recalculate with it.
- Frame a new electrical problem in writing, with criterion, variables, assumptions, calculation and decision.
Who it is for
Young people aged 16 to 24 who are studying engineering or about to choose a specialization. Requires Engineering fundamentals: Ohm's law, resistance of a conductor and power. Examples from electrical engineering.
