Say “this was mine” when your part fails, fix it, and warn early when something isn't going to work out.
What you learn
- Write your part of a group project with what you deliver, a done criterion someone else can check, and a date.
- Calculate how the quality of each part changes the probability that the whole project comes out right.
- Say “this was mine” in four parts when your part fails: what happened, why it's yours, what you fixed and what you're changing.
- Calculate your rate and your delay from your actual progress, and warn with four pieces of data on the day the math says you won't make it.
- Log your mistakes after each group review, written by you, with the fix and the date on which you checked that the change worked.
Who it is for
Young people aged 16 to 24 who are starting out in engineering or a technical trade. No prerequisites. Examples from electrical work, with batteries only.
