What you learn
- Classify a case as covered, partly outside, truly outside or falsely outside, citing the scope clause, condition or table that decides it.
- Rebuild the physical model behind a table in a standard, with its assumptions written down, and check that it reproduces every case the table covers.
- Extend the method to a case outside the table with sensitivity and worst-case analysis, and decide when the method stops being useful.
- Write the method sheet on one page and defend it before two peers with a four-column objections table.
Who it is for
Young people aged 16 to 24 who are studying engineering or a technical trade. The course belongs to the expert stage, the last one in the tree, and builds on judgement with incomplete information and on choosing and studying a specialization. Examples from electrical engineering, with assumed data and everything done on paper.
